My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Hamme - a sweet 12 year Chihuahua mix from Temecula with cute long legs.  His owner passed away and had made plans for his family to take care of him and another senior dog (see his buddy 'Roy' under available dogs) but the family neglected to do so. A friend of the rescue rescued him to prevent him from getting euthanized at the shelter.

Hamme is friendly, chill, great with kids, and great with other dogs. He is house trained, crate-trained, good on a leash, and is very smart.

Hamme is low-energy, loves sniffing on walks, and enjoys chilling and napping at home. Would be a good match for someone with a flexible schedule who is home to accompany him. Despite being 12 years old, he loves multiple walks a day.

Please consider adopting a senior pet as they receive the least applications yet are some of the best pals!
