Pawp Starr is a beautiful female Border Collie with a gentle soul, looking for a patient and loving forever home. She's shy and easily frightened by sudden movements, loud noises, and busy environments, making the shelter a challenging place for her. However, beneath her cautious exterior is a sweet, loyal companion waiting to blossom in the right home.
Pawp Starr appears to have had a previous home, as she's fully housetrained and keeps her kennel clean. She passed our cat test with flying colors, showing potential to coexist peacefully with feline friends. When it comes to other dogs, she was a bit apprehensive during introductions, but this may be due to the stress of the shelter environment, so it's not a definitive indicator of how she might interact with dogs in a calmer setting.
Her ideal family would have experience with Border Collies or similar breeds, and most importantly, the kindness and patience to let her unfold at her own pace. Pawp Starr will need a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and build trust over time.
And a little secret to winning her heart? String cheese! It's her absolute favorite, and a sure way to make a new friend. She trusts our staff at SAVE and we know she'll learn to trust you, too!
If you think you could be the loving, patient home that Pawp Starr needs, please reach out to us. This sweet girl deserves a chance to shine!
