Miko is a short hair tabby, will be one in October, and has been neutered, not declawed. I have his nails trimmed on a regular basis.
Miko was found outside playing under the next-door neighbor's truck. I previously found his sibling run over at the end of the driveway, so when I found him I immediately brought him inside. He was approximately four to six weeks old. I saw, what I'm guessing his mother, on the camera later that evening but I didn't know where she came from and thought it best to continue to take care of him. She was a beautiful large, long haired black cat.
He used to lay on a blanket on my chest twice a day and would nurse and knead dough for 15 or 20 minutes. He will still do it, on occasion, in the evenings before he goes to bed. Miko will sleep in one of our beds or in his puppy playpen at night. He chooses. I keep his litter box and a small bed in there for him.
Miko is afraid of kids that jump at him and are loud around him. He does well here with myself, my husband and 25-year-old daughter. He is also ok with older kids that are calm around him.
Miko loves our senior cat and lab. He likes to ambush them when they aren't looking. They started fussing at him so now he has started greeting them with a little head bump.
He is not a big fan of someone holding him up near their shoulder, not sure why, so he will jump down. He does however, enjoy sitting with you on the floor, in a chair, or on the bed, and occasionally helps me brush my teeth by making sure the water is the right temp. He loves a tall cat tower to jump around on as well. His legs are like springs.
Miko also likes to help me when I'm crafting, so if you don't want his help that is where the playpen comes in handy.
We call him the speedy cowboy. He runs like the speed of light and has a long-drawn-out meow. We all love him.
