Little Maxwell has had a happy little life so far. He was fortunate enough to be raised by his mom along with his siblings in foster care in New City. His mom is a wonderful mom and her good nature has very definitely rubbed off on Max and his siblings. He's a very social little guy who loves to play when volunteers visit, his favorite toys are his bird wand and little bouncy springs to chase after. He plays hard but then falls asleep on volunteers' laps after they tire him out. Maxwell isn't a shy guy, so there's no hiding when visitors come to pay attention to him. Max isn't living at the shelter, he lives with his mom and siblings cage free, so please call at 845-414-9700 for more info! Thanks!

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
