My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucas is a handsome pup with big brown eyes and a Labrador-ish body that is easy to hug. Lucas and his siblings were abandoned in a stream and were luckily found by a caring individual who brought them to safety. From wee little ones to now active, thriving and very happy pups, Lucas and his puppy pack are ready to adventure into their own homes.

Lucas is fostered near Chapala, MX and can be adopted locally and to parts of the US and Canada.

We post our dogs on our website, Petfinder, and on our Facebook page. All queries are directed to fill out an adoption application.

The potential adopter is welcome to discuss the dog with the dog's foster home before proceeding with the adoption.

Dogs are fostered in Ajijic, Mexico, and can be adopted locally or in the United States or Canada. We fly dogs to Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Seattle, Portland, plus any other city we have a flight angel for.

More about this rescue

Bone Voyage is a non-profit rescue group created to send Mexican dogs north to better homes. We work with the local shelters and with people in the Lake Chapala area that have many street dogs in their care.

We also assist individuals that find street dogs and don’t know what to do with them. We are all volunteers working together to try to minimize the amount of homeless dogs in the area.
