My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Casper is a special needs pup who is an energetic and lovable corgi/mini aussie mix. He is 20lbs, but at only 7 months he might have a little growing left to do. Casper is deaf but that doesn’t slow him down. This little guy was surrendered to a local shelter and is now in search for a forever home that is committed to learning (or already knows) a few signs to help communicate with him. He is already learning the basics and his foster mom says he is one of the smartest pups around. Casper/Snow loves to play fetch, wrestle with toys, and enjoys some cuddles on the couch once he finally wears out. He does well on walks and loves getting the chance to get out, explore the world, sniff all the things, and make new friends. He can still be mouthy while playing (he is a puppy after all), and he is working on learning to always grab a toy first. Casper would do best with someone who isn’t gone long hours and we will give preference to a home with another active dog who will be his playmate. As a high energy dog, it will be important for him to get both physical and mental stimulation. He requires a fenced yard to help keep him safe, no cats, and kids 12+.  High energy herding breed experience is preferred. If you are interested in meeting Casper the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Casper is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

More about this rescue

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!
Our mission is to help find Corgis and other breeds loving forever homes, share our knowledge of the Corgi breed through outreach and education, help reduce the pet population by promoting spay/neuter, and educating the community about responsible pet care and relationships.
