My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Casper is a special needs deaf pup who is an energetic and lovable corgi/mini aussie mix. He is 22lbs and 10 months old. Since he is deaf, Casper is learning signs for commands.  He has already learned the basics like “sit” and “come” and his foster mom says he is one of the smartest pups around. He is a double merle and was born deaf as a result, but Casper has no idea that he different than any other dog. He has a silly and affectionate personality with a hint of mischievousness. He loves to play fetch, chase, and tug of war, but is also more than happy to cuddle on the couch at the end of the day. He does great walking on leash and enjoys getting out to explore the world, sniff all the things, meet new people, and make new dog friends. Casper is still working on crate training and would do best with someone who would be home most of the time as he is stressed when left alone too long. His dream home would have another active dog who likes to play, and herding breed experience is preferred. As a high energy dog, it will be important for him to get both physical and mental stimulation. He requires a fenced yard to help keep him safe, no cats, and kids 12+. If you are interested in meeting Casper the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Casper is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

More about this rescue

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. Please feel free to contact us to see if we can help!
Our mission is to help find Corgis and other breeds loving forever homes, share our knowledge of the Corgi breed through outreach and education, help reduce the pet population by promoting spay/neuter, and educating the community about responsible pet care and relationships.
