My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Jessup, MD
Max lives to play, this rough and tumble ACD/hound mix is a ball of puppy energy, and he will not let you forget it. He loves to play with other dogs, and will run circles around the older ones. He is working on not nipping and jumping when excited, but has not yet mastered it, so he should not be in a house with small children. He is very food motivated and is learning the basic commands pretty quickly.
Max does well on his walks, he is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night or when he is unsupervised. He can be timid when introduced to new things, but does a good job of checking in for reassurance.
Max is ~5 months old and is 28 lbs. He is microchipped and is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. He is being fostered in Jessup, MD and is looking for her forever family. More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
