Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Merida, named after the princess on the movie Brave. I’m said to be a very brave little girl for everything I’ve been through.
I was in the shelter for the first month of my life…I didn’t know how to be a puppy because I was in a kennel by myself for so long that it’s all I knew. I was rescued from Tulare Animal Shelter in Central California. I was set to be euthanized and I’m only a baby.
It takes me some time to let my guard down and trust that I won’t be hurt, so I may not come right up to you. I’m very timid and submissive, and all I want is to be loved. I melt in the arms of anyone who holds me. I will sit or lay in your lap. I hug you when I’m being held. I love to play with other dogs of all sizes and I’m super friendly.
I’m potty pad trained, up to date on my vaccines, and I’m very healthy. I love my squeaker toys and my doggy bed, and I love treats!
If you’d like to meet me, please go to the website of my rescue to complete my adoption application. savingonepawatatimerescue.org
I’m looking for my forever family that will love me and take the best care of me and give me my best life.
Is that you?
Love, Merida
