This beautiful shepherd mix is Nena! She was surrendered to the shelter on 8/29 because her family is moving into an apartment and she's not able to join them. Sweet Nena has never had the chance to live inside a home, but she sure would love to try it out! Her former family didn't leave us much information about Nena so we're not sure how she is with kids or other animals. We do know that Nena knows how to sit nicely when asked. If you have a soft spot for the underdogs, please come meet Nena!
Nena is 3 years old, and she weighs 50 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and she will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Nena did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care, she can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while she receives treatment. Nena is waiting in run 78; her ID # is 661480.

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
