Meet Lumus, our cheerful and energetic 3-year-old American Bulldog mix, weighing in at a sturdy 68 lbs. Lumus is a bundle of joy who needs an owner familiar with the American Bulldog breed. These dogs are natural athletes, bred for demanding outdoor work. Lumus won't be content just lounging around or spending all day in the yard—he needs plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation. Lumus already knows basic commands like "Sit" and "Lay Down," but he does have a few quirks. He tends to jump on people and is quite enthusiastic about mouthing. Positive reinforcement training and consistent guidance are essential for helping Lumus become his best self. This affectionate pup loves being close to his humans and even enjoys snuggling in your lap. While his high energy levels may be overwhelming for young children, Lumus would thrive in a home with older kids and adults who can engage in fun activities like tug-of-war and chasing toys. If you’re ready for a lively companion who will keep you on your toes, Lumus is eager to find his forever home with an active and understanding family. Come meet Lumus today and see if he’s the perfect fit for your household!

More about this shelter
Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
