My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poor Daisy came into our shelter with no background history. We realized quickly that she was incredibly overwhelmed here and seemed very stressed by the general hectic environment of the shelter. She also was very stressed out by the sounds of other cats, and dogs. Luckily, we were able to find a great foster home for her to go to and she found those accomadations MUCH better! Her foster told us that she is doing very well, and would be much happier in a quiet home, without other pets, or young humans. Daisy is hoping to find a kind human bestie to grow old with! Come meet me at PetSmart Dougall starting November 16th!

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
