I am around 4 years old and weigh 77 pounds

I am a really laid back dog once I get to sniff and know you

I enjoy walking slowly

I don`t enjoy too much excitment until I know you. Once I know and trust you I will be your best friend.

I will sit and shake for a treat nicely

I came into the shelter with some skin issues, but am being treated for that and my fur is looking so much better

I enjoy the company of other dogs, but I not much for playing. I mainly like to walk around.

I would be best in a home with older children as I can be a little scared if I don`t know you

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
