My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe is a sweet older Shepherd-mix who recently returned to us after a few years in a home. She is very affectionate and relaxed, and was said to do enjoy the company of all humans, especially children. She loves to lounge about the house receiving pets, but also loves going on long walks, rolling in the grass, and sometimes you can even convince her to play fetch with a frisbee! While back in the shelter, we’ve been helping her work on her reactivity to other dogs, on which she’s made great progress. This lovely lady won’t disappoint! Come meet her today and see if it’s a match.

Foster-to-Adopt!
Think you and Zoe might be a match, but you want to do a trial run at home first?
You can foster Zoe—meaning you’ll take them home for one week with the intention of adopting them at the end of their stay. If things don’t work out, you can always bring them back to us. If you’re interested, come see us or contact us at adoptions@sfspca.org to learn more.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
