She's a sweet little girl who loves to explore the world around her. She loves toys and chews, keeping her entertained and promoting healthy teeth, even though she might chew on unapproved items while in her puppy stage. Cookie's funny quirks and sweet personality will melt your heart. She's excitable and affectionate, always ready to give and receive love. She's always ready for a game, especially if it involves her feline friends with whom she is easygoing, friendly, playful, and respectful. She is friendly and playful with children, making her a great family pet. However, she can be a bit rough with other dogs while also being submissive, tolerant, friendly, and playful. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
