My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parmesan is a gorgeous Siamese kitten and the most curious kitten of her litter. She likes other cats and is brave with her greetings of new cats. She’s very playful, so a home that will play with her and provide her with many toys is a must. She rarely meows, so if you like quite kitties, Parmesan is your girl! She loves snoozing in her strawberry cave during the day or on a soft blanket. Parmesan can be elusive when she reaches top speed while playing with her siblings or chasing her toys. She has a silky cream coat with silver points and beautiful blue eyes. Her hair is medium length with charming gray boots. Parmesan is the leader of the litter and loves to go on walks around the kitty enclosure with her twin brother, Aioli. They make quite the pair, exploring every nook and cranny with boundless energy and curiosity. Together, they bring a delightful dynamic to their home, ensuring there`s never a dull moment.

Parmesan also has a gentle side. In the evenings, after a day full of adventures, she enjoys cuddling up with her human companions. Her purrs are soft and soothing, a perfect end to a busy day. Adopting Parmesan means welcoming a bundle of joy, curiosity, and affection into your life. She`s not just a pet; she`s a friend, a companion, and a source of endless entertainment and love. If you`re ready for a lively and loving addition to your family, Parmesan is waiting to meet you with her bright blue eyes and a heart full of adventure. Parmesan has to be adopted with her brother Aioli.

This is a Pay It Forward cat. This means the adoption donation of $250 will help to save another kitty in need of rescue and vetting.

Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Adopting kittens in pairs allows them to complete the kitty socialization process, learn good kitty manners, and have a playmate so their humans can sleep at night. We consider adopting single kittens to applicants who have another young kitty under 1 year of age, provided the applicant’s kitten is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting.

Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:
* Be at least 21 years of age
* Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household
* Have written approval from owner of residence

More about this rescue

We are in need of Foster Homes for our homeless animals!!! Can you help?

What is a Foster Home?
A foster home takes in one of our homeless animals rather than boarding them at the kennel and cares for it until we find a permanent loving home. Almost Home Foundation pays for the all animal's food and medical expenses. The foster home learns the animal's temperament and behaviors. The foster home learns if they get along with other animals. The foster home provides insights on the animals that helps Almost Home Foundation look for the right home for the animal.

Please help!! Just fill out this form and we will contact you or call 630-582-3738 and leave a message letting us know that you are interested in fostering!

We are an all-volunteer, registered, not-for-profit 501c3 animal rescue group. Our mission is to save adoptable dogs and cats from being destroyed by finding permanent, loving homes. For details, visit us online at www.almosthomefoundation.org.

Almost Home Foundation is always looking for volunteers to handle dogs at adoption shows, set up adoption shows, write for the newsletter, photograph events, or foster animals. For a list of opportunities, visit online at www.volunteermatch.org
or www.almosthomefoundation.org.

We are a Rescue not a Shelter. This simply means we do not own a building where we house animals. We look for loving foster homes that will give temporary care and love on the animal’s journey to a permanent, loving home. When a foster home is not available, we will board the animal at a boarding kennel.

Our 5-year goal is to have a shelter. This is an aggressive goal that will take many donations and memberships. We will strive for this goal with a great team of volunteers and help from people like you! Please become a member, become a sponsor or make a donation.

Our animals are found strayed and brought in from the police. After being held for 7 days, we evaluate the temperament of the animal and determine if the animal is suitable to be a pet. On rare occasion, we will also rescue animals that are in desperate situations where the rescue makes the difference between life and death. We do not accept Owner Give-ups.
