My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Betsy! I am spunky and cute, and I love to play in the yard. When I get zoomies, I can show you the speed of a cheetah! I have the sweetest face, and my foster mom thinks my ears are adorable because they really move around to reflect my mood. They are up high when I am curious and playful, and droopy and pushed back when I’m sleepy.

I really like to crunch sticks and play with other pups of all sizes. I love treats and fresh veggies. I’m getting pretty comfortable with a kennel, and I’m learning to signal when I need to go outside. I already know how to sit, and I’m constantly working to learn new commands. I’d do best in a home without kids as they tend to make me nervous. I’m about 8 months old and 40 pounds. I’ll thrive with proper boundaries and training as I’m still young and eager to learn.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
