Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A special young boy with lots of energy. I'm deaf but not letting that stop me one bit. I'm working on hand signals and catching on to sit and stay. I have lived with dogs and cats before and I am very food driven. Get ready to receive lots of kisses. Just point to your cheek or make a kissing gesture with your lips, and you'll be covered in kisses.

A team member notes: I spent time with Pip in his room. He was delighted to see me and was very energetic for a few minutes, then settled down and had restrained energy or was calm. He is very people oriented: he stayed right with me. He is indeed food driven and wanted lots of treats. He did "sit" and "down" with hand signals, including an enthusiastic "down", and gave me a few kisses. He would love a home with an active life style.

Adoptions are completed on a first come, first served basis. Please note there may be a wait to meet with a pet, dependent on advisor availability.

Please allow plenty of time to meet your perfect pet. Once you have selected a pet, the adoption process will take at least 30 minutes. We do not begin the adoption process after 5:30 pm.

Animal Humane New Mexico performs a background check on all adopters & does not adopt to anyone who has committed a violent crime. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption for any reason.

Please note, visitors must wear their mask indoors at all Animal Humane locations.
