My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, Russell here. I'm a cream-colored cutie just waiting for my new best friend(s) to come get me! I've got a lot to offer - I'm super-friendly and very smart. My friends here at Animal Humane who take me on walks always chuckle because I know exactly where my stuffies are on the ledge outside my room, and I hop up to grab one before we go. I mean, it's not that hard, but these humans are easily entertained. Plus, I like to have as many friends as possible on my walks, and I like to show everyone I meet my toy of the day. Speaking of friends, I think everyone is a potential pal, both humans and doggos. I've been in a lot of doggie playgroups here at Animal Humane - I just love them, and I've done really well playing nicely with different friends. I also love treats, and I'll show off for them - I know sit, paw and down. The humans seem very impressed with that, along with me being housebroken (again - you humans are so easy to please). Really, I'm not asking for much - just some treats and playtime and plenty of affection ... which reminds me, I saved the best for last. I am a world-class snuggler. After some walking and a little playtime, I like to find a bench my human and I can sit on and just snuggle up and hang out. I'll chew on my stuffie, but the best part is when my human pets me, I can sneak in a few kisses, and we just watch the world go by together. Some of my friends here say it looks like I'm smiling when they walk by me sitting on a bench with my human. If all this puts a smile on your face, come meet me - I know we'll be friends!

A team member notes, "Russell loves to bench sit next to you, get belly rubs and show off his toys."

Another team member says, "Russell is a great combo of smart, playful and affectionate. It's adorable when he selects his stuffie before we start walking, and I always look forward to our bench snuggles. He's got the softest ears, and he'll give you some licks when you pet them."
