Hi human, thanks for clicking on me! What can I say, I'm a very charming guy. I'm a terrier mixed breed filled with lots of love, affection and energy. I've done well with other dogs here at Animal Humane, both in doggie playgroups and just passing by on my walks. I've also been a gentleman meeting kiddos here at the shelter and at offsite events. I know how to sit and take treats gently. I might look strong and stoic, but I'm really just a softie who adores humans, treats and a little TLC. If you're looking for a big lovebug to join your pack, I can't wait to meet you!
A team member adds, "Thrifter loves to take a toy with him on his walks, and he's such a cutie showing it off proudly to people he passes. He's very friendly and a good listener who knows "sit" and politely takes treats from your hand."
Another team member says, "Thrifter and I spent some nice quality time together today. After getting a few laps in, he just wanted to stretch out and chew on his rawhide while I sat near him. He made sure he was always within paw's distance and facing me in case he needed to get my attention for some pets. I can easily see him laying on his forever human's feet or sprawled next to them on the couch, just chewing on a toy and having the time of his life."

I wanna tell you some things about myself that may get you to adopt me. One thing I do want you to know is that I can be a little bit high energy, but with consistent walks and cuddles I will be your best friend. I am not picky when it comes to treats, but my all time favorite is soft bacon treats My favorite thing to do is play with my puppy pals and find new friends to play with. I've been told I am the best cuddle bug ever! So come by and say hi to me and I will for sure win your heart with my cuteness!

Adoptions are completed on a first come, first served basis. Please note there may be a wait to meet with a pet, dependent on advisor availability.
Please allow plenty of time to meet your perfect pet. Once you have selected a pet, the adoption process will take at least 30 minutes. We do not begin the adoption process after 5:30 pm.
Animal Humane New Mexico performs a background check on all adopters & does not adopt to anyone who has committed a violent crime. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption for any reason.
Please note, visitors must wear their mask indoors at all Animal Humane locations.
