Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am one of those dogs that folks often look for here at Animal Humane. I am a great age, a great size and a good candidate for playing fetch. The folks here suggest that I am a sweetie pie. I love walking, talking to my peeps and relaxing by the fireplace (when it's cold!) Be sure to come by to check out my qualifications so that we can get to work learning how to begin our life together.

A team member notes: I spent time with Gilbert in his room. He was wary at first, but quickly became a loving dog, staying right in front of me for rubs and scratches; he especially likes hip rubs. He also gave me some very polite kisses. If he seems wary at first, please give him some time to show his true personality.

Adoptions are completed on a first come, first served basis. Please note there may be a wait to meet with a pet, dependent on advisor availability.

Please allow plenty of time to meet your perfect pet. Once you have selected a pet, the adoption process will take at least 30 minutes. We do not begin the adoption process after 5:30 pm.

Animal Humane New Mexico performs a background check on all adopters & does not adopt to anyone who has committed a violent crime. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption for any reason.

Please note, visitors must wear their mask indoors at all Animal Humane locations.
