My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Togo is an approximately 1-2 year old male Husky who was brought to us after being dumped on a country road. He was later adopted to a home who has a senior female husky who was not fond of his boisterous play. He is looking for a home who has Husky experience and one whose dogs can tolerate his play behavior. He generally does well with other dogs. We are told he is good in the house and potty trained and crates well too. We do not recommend he goes to a home with small children. His adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations and negative heartworm test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by during our open business hours to meet Togo.

More about this shelter

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.

Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
