Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rex is a sweet boy, who is approximately 1 year old. He was originally brought to our facility as a stray and was briefly adopted. His owner had him for about a month, and stated he did not get along with her cats, and that he did chew on things in the home. Rex seems to be dog friendly here, but would do best in a home without small animals. We aren't sure how he will be with kids. He needs someone to give him the training and exercise he needs to be the best boy (and lots of things to chew on!). Rex will probably do best in a home that will crate him when they aren't around to supervise him. He is a friendly guy and really loves his people. His adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations and negative heartworm test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by during our open business hours to meet him. Rex is getting exceedingly kennel stressed, so time is of the essence to come and see if you want to make this boy yours!

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
