My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Rock - I am super cool so I can totally "rock" that name. I am a 48 lb 8 to 10 month old teenager. I am a black mouth cur mix with some hefty ears. I could have also some boxer, shepherd and/or terrier among my breed mix. I went to my foster home underweight and with a bit of mange; I was thrown out and thank goodness my foster mom came to my rescue. I have filled out and my skin has cleared up so nicely. I am active and ready to go wherever my humans will take me. I walk well on leash (I am a strong young guy though) and I know basic commands. I am definitely the type of dog that is eager to learn. I am also eager to swim! I have many dog friends in my home and if one gets tired of playing, I move on to the next! Kids 10+ and we aren't sure on cats but have a hunch I might be a little too much for them! Interview

ASCZ will contact you for a phone call within 72 hours after submission of your application. Please check your spam for our emails!

Additional adoption info

Please email info@asecondchanceforziva.com for an adoption application if interested in adopting or fostering a dog from ASCZ and please email us after you have submitted an application. After all checks on the application have been completed, the potential adopter will speak with the rescue to discuss what they are looking for and if a dog will be a great fit in their home. Once an application is submitted, the adopter will hear from the rescue within 72 hours.

The fee for puppies under 6 months is $525 and the fee for dogs 6 months and older is $425. This fee contributes to (but not limited to) all core vaccinations for each puppy/dog, microchip, spay/neuter, HW testing and prevention and flea/tick prevention while under the rescue's care and transportation.

A Second Chance for Ziva, Inc. (ASCZ) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs regardless of breed, size or age. ASCZ rescues, cares for and adopts out homeless dogs into loving and responsible homes. The rescue does not have a shelter but rather we rely on devoted fosters that open their homes and provide love and comfort to our dogs. ASCZ is committed to knowing our dogs but also to knowing our adopters. Every dog deserves a second chance and we are passionate about making their second chance a success.
