Meet Roxie, a 5-and-a-half-year-old Doberman ready for her forever home. After experiencing several changes in her life, Roxie has shown incredible resilience and is now looking for a stable, loving environment. She’s a sweet girl who enjoys exploring the yard and relaxing indoors with blankets and calming music. Initially a bit nervous, Roxie started to relax and show her affectionate side, often cuddling up with her foster.
Roxie is very food-motivated, which makes her eager to learn and train. She loves playing tug-of-war and is becoming more comfortable with new people through slow, gentle introductions. Roxie has shown some resource guarding tendencies, particularly around other dogs, and while she could have doggy friends out of the home, she would be happiest as an only dog. She would do best in a calm household with 1-2 people where she can continue to build trust and feel secure.
Roxie’s ideal home is a quiet environment without young children, where she can thrive on routine and positive reinforcement. She’s a loving dog who needs a bit of time and patience to feel fully comfortable, but with the right match, she will become a loyal and affectionate companion. If you think you could be the perfect home for Roxie, complete an application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog

All dogs are in foster homes in various parts of central and eastern PA as well as central NJ. We do adopt dogs out of state as long as the potential adopter is willing to drive to where the dog is being fostered for a meet and greet and to take the dog home. We do not ship dogs and we do not have a central location.
