My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet LJ! LJ was found while a volunteer was trying to trap any more possible siblings of three kittens we already had at the shelter. It turned out he wasn’t their brother, but once they were all healthy and able to go into one of the shelter’s kitten rooms, they all got to be friends anyway. LJ is friendly and playful, but a little less confident than the other kittens. He didn’t have siblings to learn to be rough and tumble with, but he likes playing with a shared toy like a spinner or dangling string! He likes toys, cuddle piles, and looking out the window. LJ was born at the end of March, 2024. If he is not neutered by the time he is adopted, he will be on a spay/neuter contract. He is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
