My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kodi!

Handsome Kodi came to us from an overcrowded animal control shelter. He was taken there after he was found as a stray with injuries likely from being hit by a car. This poor fella broke his pelvis in multiple places. He is safe in one of our wonderful foster homes in Seattle now and is doing very well. He was seen by an orthopedic surgeon immediately upon arrival with us and the good news is that Kodi is healing and does not require surgery. He is continuing to heal well and while he is still limping a little, he is regaining more and more function every day and enjoys short walks and snuggle time. He may always have lameness in his back leg as a result of his accident.

Kodi is a serious and sweet boy. He has been through some trauma so is not a super playful puppy. He would do well in a quiet home. He gets along with both dogs and cats but would be fine as the only pet in the home. If he does go to a home with another dog, his low key energy should be matched. He’s potty trained and sleeps in his crate through the night.

If you are looking for a sweet, calm and gentle friend, Kodi is your guy.

He is vaccinated, chipped and will be neutered once he is more settled. His adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
