Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
The last of his brothers! Welcome to the ring, Hosta the Imposta!!!! (*air horn noises*) He seems to think he's a pro wrestler, and he doesn't care who his opponent is... Even when they're less than willing to be that opponent. Hosta doesn't care, he waits for no one! Of course unless they're actually telling him they're seriously not into it, then he backs off. He's not too dumb for a void.
This little guy was born in care with 4 siblings, who are now all adopted. So, now his roommate is his older cousin(?) who also loves to wrestle, he's just not as quick to get chummy with others like Hosta is. They're cool now, though. They do much better outside their 3 tier kennel where they can give each other space and be entertained by something else for a while instead of the other.
Hosta is easily entertained by most toys, cat furniture, and fun things to watch. He loves anything from a crumpled up piece of paper to a big fancy TV that plays videos of birds and small critters. His playmate of choice is obviously another kitten, but he's more than willing to get distracted by something else when their take play breaks. He used to be obsessed with playing with human hands, and as long as he didn't cause pain or leave marks, we've let him so he can better learn bite inhibition. He does this less now!
Hosta has been around multiple cats of various ages and temperaments. He doesn't pester them too much and respects their boundaries as much as a kitten can. He's also been around dogs and is fine with them as long as he has an escape route when he gets overwhelmed. Kids, he hasn't been around, but he's pretty easy to handle and tolerates most things. He does like to give soft love bites sometimes, so really young kids might not be ideal. He's still learning!
If you're interested in Hosta, please contact A.W.W. by calling or texting 715-501-3000, emailing at rescue.aww@gmail.com, messaging our Facebook page, or check our website www.animalwelfarewi.org to fill out an adoption application. **Our website is being created at this time, and may not be up and running yet. Go meet their pets
Once your application has been approved, we will disclose the private address of the Foster who has the animal you're interested in. Our hours are based on our founder's availability, but it truly depends on the foster's schedule. Our fosters are all located in northwestern Wisconsin, and Shelli can be present if requested or she is available if the foster isn't herself.
