Look at my son. Pride is not the word I'm looking for... This is my first foster for AWW along with his mother Cho, and I (Gena!) named him Inchworm. All his siblings were pending adoption in their original foster home, so they got named by them. However, Inchworm was getting bigger and Cho was weaning the kittens, so they came to my home until they were ready to be adopted. I decided to name him Inchworm since he was so little and wiggly like a worm, and it's close to a baby butterfly, which is what Cho is named after in Japanese.
He is the best of both worlds. He is incredibly affectionate and begs to be held and petted almost any chance he gets. He also is a rough and tumble party boy who loves to play and chase with anyone else he can. His mom was a wonderful playmate, but she did get tired of his antics after a certain point. Thankfully, 3 additional kittens got transferred in, so Inch was no longer pushing his mom's buttons quite as much. The other kittens help keep his cuddly side and playful side fairly balanced.
Inch can be very anxious and hesitant on new places at first. He especially doesn't trust dogs, they're super scary! After some adjustment time is given, Inch starts testing the waters by rolling around and being the babiest boy to ever baby. It's pretty pathetic actually. Then, once he relaxes, he is the image of a confidently mischievous kitten. He does ridiculous stunts to jump in your lap, or on other surfaces in close approximation to your lap. He likes laps.
If you're interested in Inchworm, please contact A.W.W. by calling or texting 715-501-3000, emailing at rescue.aww@gmail.com, messaging our Facebook page, or check our website www.animalwelfarewi.org to fill out an adoption application. **Our website is being created at this time, and may not be up and running yet.
