Jack is a male Shepherd mix, about 3 yrs old. He weighs 43#. He is a good dog... not aggression but also no training. He has been getting some leash training of which he's doing very well. This guy needs to have a companion to take him everywhere, go on hikes, and maybe even swimming. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He does need daily exercise but I’m sure he will calm down after he knows he’s in a forever home and gets his love and exercise every day. He deserves a second chance…he needs someone who believes in him!

This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.

Our transporters go to the Northeast typically 3-4 times/month to OH, PN, NY, VT, CT, NJ, & MD. All dogs must be pre-adopted because we have no fosters in the NE. We also adopt in Pacific Northwest and mid-west as well. Some of our adopters have come from both Canada and Alaska.

We used to call ourselves Shayne's Rescue as we used to rescue dogs. Hence our webiste: shaynesrescue.com.
Please see the 'resource section' which has excellent information for anyone with a dog or pup. Now, we are Shayne's Fosters as we foster TX rescue pups & dogs.. We assist several Texas rescuers where shelters kill 80-99% of what comes in besides the millions and millions of strays on the streets. Hence, we foster for TX rescues who do impeccable jobs of vetting, quarantine all of their pups/dogs and send up the best dogs we have ever met. All have a health certificate prior to transport (vet visit). We work super hard volunteering and we can always use more assistance from volunteers!
