Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rusty is perhaps the sweetest, kindest, most gentle Aussie I have ever encountered. She came to the organization from breeders who finished using her and said “she has to go”. She is a large 61lb female red- tri color, with the perfect personality for any household.
Rusty loves puppies and all other dogs. She would do best in a household with at least one other dog that she could play with and nurture. She does fine around dog savy cats too. She doesn’t react to people who come and go from the house and she doesn’t bark (even when the rest of the pack is barking). Rusty is slow to warm up to people and more stand-off ish to men than women. But once she knows you she will follow you around all day.
She is house trained but does need to be let out every couple of hours. Rusty likes to help with things when you’re not watching her, she helps remove the bark from the flower beds, tear up boxes, help you move your shoes around and other semi mischievous things. However her sweet, sweet personality will win you over in a heartbeat. This girl loves to smile, get pets and loves and be with her people. However, she is not fond of getting in/out of the car but does fine on the ride. Rusty comes when called and is eagerly willing to learn new things like sit and stay.
She has not been tested around small children but think she would be fine with proper supervision. She is 3 years old, spayed and current on immunizations.
If this sweet girl sounds perfect to you, please fill out our application:
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
