Jeremiah has tested positive for FIV. Kittens who test positive at this age are often testing positive because of antibodies they receive from their mother. As they age, these antibodies go away. By the time they are 5 to 6 months old, they test negative which means they never had FIV to begin with. Additionally Jeremiah is the only one of his siblings to test positive which further suggests that this is likely to be a false positive.
The adoption fee will include the cost of a retest when he is 5 to 6 months of age. Even if he were to remain positive, FIV is not something to be afraid of. FIV+ cats can easily live with FIV negative cats. They live long healthy lives.
