Meet Basil, a sweet and laid-back Shepherd mix pup who is just 7 months and 30 pounds and ready to find her forever home!
Basil is house-trained and likes her time in her crate. She is not a big fan of going for walks, but we think she is just unfamiliar with being on a leash, but she does not mind a car ride. She likes to spend time in the yard chasing and playing with other dogs. Basil is a big fan of toys and bones. Despite her calm demeanor, Basil can be a bit timid at first. However, once she feels safe, she comes out of her shell and reveals her happy, playful side.
Her foster mom describes Basil as the perfect combo of sweet, smart, and calm. She knows sit, down and crate. She gets along well with other dogs, enjoys entertaining herself with toys, and loves some good snuggle time with her humans. Basil may need a little extra time to adjust, but with patience, she’ll show you her true personality.
Basil could do well with children, but her foster recommends older kids (7 and up) who will be respectful of her need to relax and settle in. She does require canine companion as well as a fenced yard. If you’re looking for a gentle, friendly, and happy companion, Basil might be the perfect match for you!
Her minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
