Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** ADOPTED ** Baxter is a beautiful Giant Schnauzer puppy who is in need of a fun and forever home. He is just 9 months old (as of Sept 2024) and already 68 pounds... he’s going to be a big boy! 😊 With loads of puppy play energy, Baxter must have another young, playful, friendly, and large dog in the home to be his play pal, and he needs his own yard where he can play with his new sibling (should be a female).
Baxter has some very basic training under his belt – he sits nicely on command, will lie down pretty well on command, and rides nicely in the car; but he still has lots of training ahead so he can grow up to be a nicely mannered dog. Currently, he does jump up to greet and hug, so there should be no small children (or frail seniors) in the home who will get knocked down by Baxter’s generous greetings. Toys are a big hit with this precious puppy, and he’s happy to bring you a toy for tug-of-war, which he will probably win. 😊 (good with kids but they must be older, responsible, respectful, and sturdy).
This handsome baby has so much energy! We are looking for the right setting for him – not just a home with a yard with grass or turf (play area -- must have some running space), but importantly, people who will be dedicated to proper training for him. His family (or person) should be active and willing to take him for walks or jogs when weather permits (he walks surprisingly nicely on a leash already); and his people should be willing to play fetch or tug-of-war with him. He loves attention and deserves a world of unconditional love.
Baxter will be fully vetted as of this Thursday (9/5) and we are taking applications for him in advance. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. If interested in adopting, please email to request an application.
