My name is Dovey!

Dovey quietly celebrated her 8th birthday with one of her beloved churu treats.  As a diabetic, she doesn’t get them very often but that makes her appreciate them all the more!  Tomorrow marks a year in foster care. She was adopted as a tiny kitten and sadly had to be returned shortly after she was diagnosed with diabetes as her adopters military career did not lend itself to insulin injections on a regular schedule.  She had a bit of a shock coming to her chaotic foster home after living so long as an only animal.  Dovey has come a long way over the past year and is ready to find a forever home of her own.  She is an expert snuggler and would love nothing better than to lay on your lap while you work on the computer or read a book.  She is co-existing with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes and is great with older kids and adults. She hasn’t met many tiny humans, but I think they would scare her.  Are you looking for a lap cat??  Dovey is your girl!  She takes her vetsulin shots like a champ every 12 hours, and her diabetic markers are the best they’ve been.
