My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tigger is such a good boy! He is great with dogs and cats and loves to play. He is crate trained, house trained, and eager to please. He loves to play tug, and destroy dog toys (or stuffed animals, so keep those out of reach!) He will plop slobbery toys right in your lap to get your attention! Tigger is good with kids, but older kids are recommended as he doesn't quite know how big and strong he is when playing! He is a bully mix at 56 pounds and needs to gain. He was depressed in the shelter and not eating much. He initially came in as a stray, then adopted from the shelter for about a year. He came back when his family had to move. Tigger then came to SAAP and is ready for more fun in his life. He also loves to lounge on the couch with his people, and bring his blanket along from his crate. Tigger also has a big bark but a tiny whine. He is such a great dog and deserves a great home!

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?
