Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little lady is Sheila. She came to us with her tiny kittens and needed all the help she could get. Sheila was a young mom and hasn't had the chance to be herself. She had big ears and tiny feet but who doesn't love a sprite of a cat. She is so wonderful to have around and is just the sweetest cat you can find.
Sheila prances around on her tiny little toes and is always happy to see anyone who comes through the door. Her favorite thing to do is play in packing paper from the Amazon packages!
Sheila can't wait to go home with you.

ADOPTION SUCCESS STORIES BEGIN AT HSIMC!

More about this shelter

Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County, HSIMC, is a non-profit animal rescue and adoption center. Our team is dedicated to rescuing and placing abandoned and displaced animals into loving homes.

As a 501(c)(3), we receive no government funding and rely heavily on our community of supporters, grants, and fundraising.

We are located in Redwood Valley and hope you come visit us and the animals in our care. We also have many volunteer opportunities and invite you to join our team!

Volunteer orientation occurs the first Thursday and last Sunday of each month at 11am. Please check in at the front office, no appointment necessary. The orientation lasts about 45 minutes and anyone interested in dog walking can sign up for a 1:1 dog walking orientation with a senior volunteer or staff member. Our volunteers are welcome to volunteer anytime during open hours.
