Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus is his name and he sure knows it. You can say his name from across the room and he will come over as fast as he can IF he isn't already standing right next to you. Gus likes to be where the people are but isn't too pushy for attention. He just wants to be near you and if you want to pet him, he's all the happier for it.
Gus is a certified good boy and can't wait to find his forever home.

More about this shelter

Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County, HSIMC, is a non-profit animal rescue and adoption center. Our team is dedicated to rescuing and placing abandoned and displaced animals into loving homes.

As a 501(c)(3), we receive no government funding and rely heavily on our community of supporters, grants, and fundraising.

We are located in Redwood Valley and hope you come visit us and the animals in our care. We also have many volunteer opportunities and invite you to join our team!

Volunteer orientation occurs the first Thursday and last Sunday of each month at 11am. Please check in at the front office, no appointment necessary. The orientation lasts about 45 minutes and anyone interested in dog walking can sign up for a 1:1 dog walking orientation with a senior volunteer or staff member. Our volunteers are welcome to volunteer anytime during open hours.
