Waffles is tiny but mighty. She is super-affectionate and super-playful. While she may still skitter away initially at new humans, she's back in a few seconds to check them out and she soon reveals her more extroverted personality. Waffles is a brave and curious girl who shows her brother Coconut how to play with new toys and discover new places. She is a fierce, tireless player of feather toys in particular, with lightning- fast reflexes. Waffles adores a lap and shows her appreciation with loving eyes and a powerful purr that belies her mini body. If you stop petting her, she will politely remind you! Waffles and her brother Coconut are absolutely devoted to each other and are rarely apart while awake or asleep, so they should be adopted together. They are still a little skittish of sudden movements and noises, so they would do best in a quiet home or with older children.

Additional adoption info

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!

Adoption fees are:
Kittens under 6mo: $130 ($200 for two)
Cats over 6mo: $90 ($150 for two)
Puppies under 6mo: $225
Dogs over 6mo: $175

Go meet their pets

Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 3341 Vincent Road.

Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens). Kitty Corner is open for adoptions by appointment only with an approved application. Please submit an application for a cat you are interested in at www.cchumane.org/adoptable-cats.

All of our dogs, puppies and some kittens are located off-site in foster homes and can be met by appointment once adoption applications have been received and approved.
