My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apply to Adopt Me!

Knox is such a cutie! He is an approx. 3-year-old, 9 1/2 lb. Chinese Crested mix. He loves playing with other dogs and with toys. He can be very energetic but then knows how to chill. He corrects very easily. He gets along with all dogs, people of all ages, and cats. He wants to play with the resident cat, but the cat has the upper hand on that decision. He is shy at first when meeting new people and dogs, but it doesn't take him long to realize they are his friends. He has fluffy/tufted hair in some areas, and other areas his hair is on the thinner side - characteristics of the Chinese Crested breed. He is a very sweet boy and his favorite thing is being near his people and snuggling.  He is a true cuddle bug that loves lap time, loves to be held and loves sleeping snuggled up next to his person. He will hop when going after a mini tennis ball and sometimes do a little prance. Knox has discovered how fun it is to chase lizards. He is not a fan of going outside in the rain and is scared of the water faucet at bath time, but he is getting much better. Knox rides well in a car but should be tethered to keep him safe. He is house trained, but should go to a home where he can be taken out every few hours and right after he eats. He can be play mouthy so toddlers may not be the best fit for him until he learns. He knows "sit" command, walks well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is not a big barker. We want his forever home to have a fenced yard where he can run and play and get his energy out with zoomies, a playful young fur sibling (he would be too much energy for a senior dog), and a variety of toys to enjoy. Knox is a "10" on the cuteness and sweetness scale. If you believe you have the perfect home for Knox, and you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, please complete an app and tell us more about your family.

More about this rescue

We are a small 501(c)3 dog rescue. We take owner surrenders and we pull from local shelters. We, like so many others, are just trying to make a difference.
