My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans.

I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

Phoebe interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that she go to a home with adopters with cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in rough play, overstimulation, and inappropriate elimination.

A volunteer writes: My dream is to be called any variation of bold, fearless, and independent and Phoebe's living it! This is how she's been described and I can see it perfectly. Phoebe likes to put herself right in the middle and do things her way. In the Care Center this means that making friends may require a little more thought, patience, and time. This is perfectly ok because we've seen glimpses of Phoebe's fun and friendly ways and know that she has many interesting things to share. Sometimes reaching her paws through the condo door, other times napping in her den, and always staying true to herself, Phoebe and I have been learning about each other in stages and what I've learned, I adore. We've heard that Phoebe loves to play and comes when called and does other things as she sees fit - cuddling and snacking, purring and stretching. Anyone who marches to the beat of their own drum is sure to be a winner and Phoebe is no exception. She's looking forward to meeting the family of her dreams soon!
