My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Biscuits, the floofy kitten who’s ready to knead her way right into your heart. With her cloud-like fur and mesmerizing stripes, she’s as gorgeous as they come. And like her name, she’s warm, soft, and always rising to the occasion—whether it’s playtime, cuddle time, or getting into a little innocent kitten mischief. Biscuits is full of playful energy, turning every day into an adventure. She loves to chase after toys like a little acrobat, leaping, jumping, and darting around with the grace of a dancer.

Biscuits is just as loving as she is playful. Once she’s worn out from her antics, she’ll curl up right in your lap, purring contently as as she soaks up all the attention and affection you can give. She adores being held and will happily snuggle up next to you for some quality cuddle time. Biscuits was born early July, 2024.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Biscuits, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com. Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). Inquires with these questions answered are responded to promptly.

We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com to learn more. Photos by Brenda Stewart

Additional adoption info

The process for adopting a cat involves a couple of steps.

Step 1 Gather information
We gather information about the potential adopter's situation, what they are looking for, their current household and pets, etc.

Step 2 Cat “Interviews”
Next, we have the potential adopter meet the available kitties, by putting them directly in touch with the appropriate foster parent(s) to coordinate a day and time for a visit.

Step 3 Adoption application
Once the potential adopter has met the kitties, if they decide they want to do an adoption, they fill out our adoption application, which we then process. It takes a couple of days to process the application. Once the application has been processed and approved, the kitties are ready to go home.

Step 4 After the adoption
Once a person has adopted a cat, Feline Friends Chicago continues to stay in touch with the adopter to ensure a smooth transition for both the person and the cat. We remain available for questions and advice.

All of our kitties have been combo-tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia, spayed or neutered, vaccinated for distemper, microchipped, and dewormed. The adoption fee helps to offset the costs we incur to do all of these things.

Please keep in mind, we are a very small volunteer group and not set up to do out of state or long distance adoptions. If you live out of the Chicago area, we encourage you to look at your local shelters where there are wonderful animals waiting for homes.

Go meet their pets

All cats in Feline Friends Chicago live in foster homes. As part of the adoption process, we have the potential adopter meet the available kitties by putting them directly in touch with the appropriate foster parent(s) to coordinate a day and time for a visit.

More about this rescue

Feline Friends Chicago is a, no kill, cat rescue organization serving Chicago. We do not have a physical site – we are completely foster-based. To meet any of our cats in the Feline Friends Chicago program, we arrange meetings between foster homes and potential adopters. Feline Friends is staffed 100% by volunteers, and is funded entirely by private donations. Feline Friends is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.

Our mission statement is: “to help alleviate the suffering of homeless pets in Chicago by rescuing, spaying/neutering, and responsibly placing as many animals as possible in permanent homes.

Feline Friends Chicago is a 100% foster-based program. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can rescue. We are continually in need of foster homes, and would love to hear from you if you could provide a foster home. Contact us at felinefriendsorg@gmail.com. We respond to all emails promptly. If you have not received a reply within 24 hours, please check your spam folder.
