If you know about Bourbon, then you know about “proof.” “Proof” tells you how strong the spirit is. Our dog, Whiskey, is 100 proof love & playfulness—a strong spirit who will intoxicate you with his zest for life. Whiskey, an 8 month old, 42 lb. Husky/Shepherd mix, was surrendered to the shelter when his family moved. In his previous home he lived with cats & a 3 year-old child. Whiskey knows a few commands & is working on his housetraining. At the shelter he loves horsing around with the other dogs in his play group & walks enthusiastically on leash. Whiskey is looking for an active forever home that will provide daily exercise & continue his training. With his striking one-blue-and-one-brown pair of eyes, his silvery, cloud-colored coat, & mischievous grin he is sure to add a full-bodied experience to your next outdoor adventure or family outing. Submit Application

All pets adopted from Tri-County Animal Rescue Center will have received a vet wellness examination, de-wormer, and vaccinations.

2.
Approve Application

If adopting a cat/kitten you must agree to not have it declawed. If living in a rental property, we must get permission from the landlord.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our dog adoption fee is $125 and we require either a spay/neuter deposit of $50 or a certificate for spay/neuter at our vet may be purchased for $100 (unless already spayed/neutered which would change the adoption fee) if the option of the $50 deposit is chosen, it will be returned after proof of the surgery.
Our cat adoption fee is $75 for kittens and $35 for adult cats. The cat adoption fee includes spay or neuter costs. All cats and dogs receive a wellness check and are current on all vaccinations appropriate for their age.

The adoption process includes filling out an adoption application and providing references. Any current pets in the household must be spayed or neutered (unless not recommended by a veterinarian for health reasons) and current on vaccinations. If adopting a cat/kitten you must agree to not have it declawed.
If living in a rental property, we must obtain permission from the landlord before an adoption can be approved. The dog or cat will be placed with the potential adopter that best matches the needs of the animal.
