Gizmo is an approximately 1 year old, male, shih tzu. While this little cutie only weighs about 8 pounds, he makes up for his small size with a big funny personality. He will absolutely keep his new family laughing!

Gizmo loves to play and explore his surroundings! He is super loving, enjoys making new friends and is a very outgoing boy - he loves hanging out with his foster fur-siblings. He came to us a bit neglected, so she had to be shaved to relieve him from the pain of all the matting, but his skin is healing and his coat is growing back in nicely :).

As you’ll see in his photos, Gizmo does have a cleft lip. This does not slow him down and he eats regular kibble just fine — he should stay on hard kibble as is a safer choice for his cleft. Gizmo does also have a heart murmur (grade 4). He is not on medicine yet at this time, and a new family would need to monitor it and treat if/when it’s ever needed. He also has a healed ulcer in his eye from his past life. None of this slows him down, and he will tell you that he is just fine! Other than that, he is heart worm negative, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
