My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Scout! I am a young guy about 10 months old weighing in at 35 pounds, with a curious and playful nature.

I am very attentive, and my energetic and goofy spirit will surely bring joy to your life! I love to prance around the room and look all adorable and happy, which of course I am! You can rest assured that I will be very attentive to you, responsive to your direction and be by your side. As you may notice from a few of my pictures, I am blind in one eye, but that doesn't stop me from doing anything or being awesome!

I am a puppy, so I will need a structured lifestyle and lots of attention. I would love to be in an active home where I can get lots of exercise and be a part of a pack. I have a soft, loose and playful approach with other dogs. I am full of energy and ready to take on the world, but I can still be a little puppy mouthy and nippy, so I will need help with training and patience as I am still just a baby.

The rescue thinks my breed is part shepherd and a herding dog, so I will need a lot of mental and physical stimulation. I can't wait to find my furever home where any children are at least 13 years old and start this new adventure with you!

If you are interested in Scout and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
