Meet Elvis: The King of Your Couch and Cheese-Loving Champion!
Elvis is a sweet, soulful, and sensitive pup who’s ready to find his forever throne. Once a scrappy guy with a rough start, Elvis has been on a journey of healing and learning to trust again. Beneath his scruffy charm is a loyal companion with a heart of gold—and a serious weakness for cheese. He thrives on being close to his people and loves a good belly rub. He has learned some new tricks lately to add to his bag - he can sit, down, stay, and shake (to name a few).
That said, this lovable king has his quirks. New faces, sudden movements, and overexcited greetings can overwhelm him, and he’s been known to get fussy when startled or stressed. Elvis will need a calm, adult-only home with a patient person (or two) who can provide him with structure, routine, and continued training to help him feel safe and build his confidence. With the right introductions, he can learn to warm up to new friends.
Elvis has a few special needs, including air-borne allergies that are managed with medication and anxiety that is currently treated with medication. Despite these challenges, he’s a dog with so much potential for the right match. Fully potty-trained with a bladder of steel, Elvis is also a great sleeper. He loves squeaky toys (though they don’t last long), belly rubs, a good game of tug, and chasing bugs or squirrels in the backyard. Elvis does very beautifully walking, particularly when there are no distractions.
If you’re looking for a quirky, cheese-obsessed companion who just needs someone to believe in him, Elvis could be your perfect match. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, this sweet boy will reward you with his unwavering loyalty and affection. Are you ready to help Elvis find his Graceland?

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.
Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.
We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
