My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Iris is very energetic and would currently rather play than snuggle, rather typical for a kitten. She was born in May of 2024. She not shy or fearful of people, just likes to check you out first before getting too close. But, if you offer up a dangly toy  she is ALL IN. She has 4 other littermates and she is most like her sister Lilly in temperament. Iris and Lilly are really "two peas" in how similar their personalities' are. They are not a bonded pair and would be fine on their own with lots of attention. She is great with all her littermates and her mom, Blossom, who has yet to find her forever home. She would do well with another cat or dog with proper introduction, or any member of her family if you are looking for a pair. 

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
