My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT LEO!

Meet Leo, our big beautiful nine-year-old tuxedo gentleman! This handsome man was brought to HAP after his owner passed away. This has been a big change for him, and he has been, understandably, pretty sad. But he's finding joy in the little things!

Leo loves catnip! He is especially fond of the silvervine sticks, he loves to throw them around and roll on his back, playing with them. He is a big fan of chin scratches and cheek rubs, but he isn't too interested in back pets yet.

*Leo has been good with the cats in the shelter, but we do recommend a calm kitty friend, or at least one who understands the importance of naptime! Leo previously lived with a dog who was his best friend, so we think he'd enjoy a calm dog friend again. We aren't sure how he'd do with children.

**If interested in adopting, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is designed to help you and your family find the perfect match in a pet. When the right match is made, we strive to conduct our adoptions thoughtfully, transparently, and with the utmost respect. You can view and submit an adoption questionnaire online ahead of your visit by going to our website: humaneanimalpartners.org. A questionnaire is not required to come visit us, but we will have you fill one out if interested in meeting with our animals. We strive to make the best match possible for you and for the animals. Most of our pets can go home same-day and come vaccinated, spay/neutered, and microchipped.
