My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey is an absolute Doll!

You don’t notice it at first but she’s lost part of an ear and most of her nose; she was the victim of abuse but you absolutely wouldn’t know it after spending 5 minutes with her.

Every single time she gets let out and fed, she is just a ray of sunshine and happiness. She had a big male dig into her kennel after a thunderstorm and we found them as new best friends just hanging out until supper time.

Honey knows basic commands and is kennel trained and I suspect house trained because she was clearly someone’s dog before she came to us.

The only thing bigger than Honey’s smile is her heart and she has so much love to give and you can absolutely feel her melt into you once she receives the smallest amount of affection!

She will fill your home with happiness!

More about this rescue

We started this organization to fill a need. Animals are being euthanized in astonishing numbers across the country simply due to overcrowding of shelters. It's heartbreaking! Our main focus is to pull these animals out of these high-kill facilities and place them in loving forever homes. We have several local fosters that are willing to provide temporary TLC for these pets while they are waiting for their "forever humans" to come along! We are also passionate about community education in areas of need. The pet overpopulation problem rests solely on the shoulders of humans and that is why more focus needs to be placed on educating people and making them more aware of the issue. We want to give as many animals as possible the chance they deserve, so that is why we founded Happy Landings Animal Rescue.
