Meet Rolf, the 18-month-old, 44.5-pound German Shepherd mix with a heart full of potential! When Rolf first arrived, he was a bit shy and kept his true personality hidden. But with a little time and patience, this sweet boy has started to come out of his shell, revealing a fun and goofy side that's hard not to love.
Rolf absolutely adores being outside, but his paws have been bothering him lately, which has kept him from fully enjoying playtime. The good news is that we're working on getting his paws back in tip-top shape so he can truly shine. Even with his paws in recovery, we've caught glimpses of the amazing dog he is, and we know there's so much more to discover. If you're looking for a loving companion who just needs a little TLC to reach his full potential, Rolf could be the perfect match for you!

We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at jcas@co.johnson.in.us or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

More about this shelter

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
